Trees for Global Benefits: “Climate neutral” burgers in Sweden, starvation in Uganda

An investigation shows that While companies like the Swedish fast food chain Max Burgers AB sells ‘carbon neutral’ burgers, a carbon offset project in Uganda is pushing families into hunger. Farmers who signed up for the carbon project were promised income from tree planting and now they are locked into long term contracts that don’t allow them to produce enough food.
