Mausam Magazine from India: voices for climate justice

Rec_MausamThe India Climate Justice Collective has released the fifth issue of the “Mausam” magazine. This time the focus is on India’s Intended Nationally Determined Contribution, submitted to the UN Climate Convention in October, to which they say: “We think it was not nationally determined… Nor does it contribute in any way towards solving the climate crisis: if anything, it can only help worsen the crisis.” Eight articles and the editorial analyse India’s coal industry, nuclear power, the water sector, renewable energy, carbon offset projects and climate finance regarding the country’s proclaimed contribution for addressing climate change. They also include a detailed highlight of the official texts and a final poem that voices the contradictions.
