Women and Climate Change

Climate change is one of the most serious problems we face today. One of the direct results of climate change is the increased frequency of floods, droughts, extreme temperatures, hurricanes, mudslides and landslides. The main cause of climate change is the burning of fossil fuels, which releases carbon into the atmosphere. You’ve probably heard about all of this before. But have you ever stopped to think that it’s women who suffer the most from the consequences of climate change?
