Brazil: Turiwara people demand to STOP Agropalma's violence in their territories

Since Monday, 22 August, the Turiwara people in the municipality of Tailândia, in the Brazilian Amazon state Pará took back their territory, illegally in the hands of the industrial oil palm company Agropalma.

In this letter they denounce the violence of the company guards, that confiscated their food stock and trapped them inside the occupied territory, blocking all the access roads. In the letter the Turiwara demand immediate action from authorities to ensure their physical safety against Agropalma´s security guards, and take immediately steps to start the land demarcation process.
