The WRM website is a tool to support communities’ struggles in the global South and disseminate information about how they are defending their territories against the onslaught of extractive industries.
You can access action alerts, the WRM bulletin, publications and multimedia content about struggles against monoculture tree plantations, offset projects, certification schemes and the conservation industry, among many other topics. Content is organized by issue, region and type of material.
Most content is in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. Some material is also available in Indonesian, Hindi, Thai, Swahili, Luganda and other languages. To access these languages, click “Other” on the language menu at the top right of the page.
The WRM website is also a vast virtual library, with more than 10,000 items from 1990 to the present. Building this new website has been a complex task that is still under development. Let us know what you think of the new site, and please drop us a line if you spot any errors or links that don't work. Email us at wrm@wrm.org.uy.
We hope you like the new site. Please share it widely, and remember that you can subscribe to receive the WRM bulletin, action alerts, publications and other news by email. The subscription is free.
In solidarity,
The WRM team
