Regulatory framework for research and field trials:

  • Taiwan has established field testing regulations governing plants, livestock, poultry and fish after Taiwan promulgated its field  testing regulation governing aquatic plants and animals in April 2009. (2)

Field trials:

  • Field testing of GE eucalyptus for pulp production was on-going in 2011 for biosafety assessement  (2)
