The second in a series of reports on the impacts of transnational corporations (TNCs) on forests and forest peoples. Five country case studies are documented showing the disastrous impact that Canadian mining enterprises are having upon the world’s forests and forest peoples. Industry executives have been forced by mounting public criticism to acknowledge their responsibility for past bad practice but claim that the mining industry has already become cleaner and greener. This report belies these claims and calls for action to regulate the industry and to ensure greater responsibility and accountability. Detailed concession maps are included.
