This document provides a list of all Intergovernmental Panel on Forests (IPF) and the Intergovernmental Forum on Forests (IFF) proposals for action, consolidated for easy access, and identifies the main actors, that share the responsibility of implementing these proposals for action.
The IPF/IFF proposals for action will continue to play a pivotal role in the United Nations Forum on Forests (UNFF), the successor body to the IPF and IFF. According to the ECOSOC resolution, which established UNFF (E/2000/35), UNFF will “develop a plan of action for the implementation of Intergovernmental Panel on Forests/Intergovernmental Forum on Forests proposals for action, which will address financial provisions.” This document has been prepared to support the UNFF’s effort in developing a plan of action for the implementation of the IPF/IFF proposals for action.
